Hugo De Jesus brings almost three decades of specialised expertise in the building and construction industry, with a strong focus on building defects and water‑related forensic analysis. His experience spans a wide range of architectural forms and building classes, with particular expertise in identifying complex failures, including water ingress, consequential damage, and general construction defects.
Hugo has extensive experience across the full remediation lifecycle, including forensic investigations, development of rectification strategies, supervision of remedial works, and quality assurance.
With extensive hands‑on experience supported by formal qualifications, Hugo is widely regarded as a leading specialist within the construction and remedial sectors.

He is a licensed builder and accredited Building Consultant and has completed expert witness training through the University of New South Wales.
In addition, Hugo holds trade qualifications and certifications in solid plastering, brick and block laying, and waterproofing. He has also gained practical, hands‑on experience in framing and sheeting, concreting, minor carpentry works, tiling, and the supervision and management of trades, providing him with a comprehensive, ground‑up understanding of construction and remedial processes.
